GeoPoint was founded in 1997 by Mr. R. Mosterd and is specialised in the development and manufacturing of CPT cones and other geotechnical instruments. Ruud, with more than 35 years of experience, has been able to pass on his expertise as well as his passion for quality, technique and customer focus to a team of professionals that take pride in exceeding customer expectations.
Our personnel’s total experience is over 110 years in CPT.
The thousands of CPT cones that are being used daily around the world, come back regularly to our facility in the Netherlands to be serviced. Cones from all other makes are being serviced by our skilled team as well.
Geopoint understands that continuity is key for our customers. That is why a swift delivery and turnaround for repair is our standard. It is also possible to get advice and support on location.
Innovation and custom made instruments are a strong point of Geopoint.
In 2010, it was Geopoint that in collaboration with a customer developed as first the magnetometer. The magnetometer is to be used with standard CPT equipment and measures the deviations in the earth magnetic field. Applications include determining the bottom of sheet pilings and detecting and locating unexploded ordnance.
In response to a specific question from a customer, GeoPoint developed in 2014 a CPT cone with built-in video camera that is now part of our standard offering.
In collaboration with Eijkelkamp SonicSampDrill, GeoPoint developed a special CPT cone to be used in conjunction with sonic drilling. The combination of standard CPT techniques and sonic drilling is the ultimate solution to investigate a much wider variety of soil with one rig. The patented SonicCPT system is marketed world-wide by Eijkelkamp SonicSampDrill.
Lubrication modules for CPT of soil with high friction and the heatflow probe for the measurement of thermal conductivity are other examples of innovations by Geopoint.
